Transparent Plastic Cards – a see-through functional card for loyalty and access systems
A card built for repeated use, not a one-off business card
Transparent plastic cards are designed as a functional card in the credit-card format of 85.4 × 53.98 mm and 0.76 mm thickness, which the holder keeps in a wallet and presents again and again — for example as a loyalty card, club identification or an access card to a gym or hotel. Unlike a transparent business card, this card is not meant for a single exchange of contact details but for long-term functional use.
Matte, see-through material
It is made of matte transparent PVC, 0.4 mm thick, highly resistant to damage, moisture and sunlight. The transparency creates a distinctive visual effect — you can partly see through the card — which sets it clearly apart from the opaque white plastic ID cards in the same product line.
CMYK + white printing
We print using UV offset technology in CMYK with an added white ink layer, and design elements can be under-printed with a second white layer to boost contrast on the transparent base. Printing is single-sided, full colour, with full-bleed coverage across the whole card.
Formats and personalisation
Besides the standard credit-card format we also offer 85 × 55 mm and 90 × 50 mm sizes, or a fully custom size to your specification. As with our other cards, this version can also be personalised with sequential numbering, a barcode or a QR code for use in attendance or loyalty systems.
Typical functional applications
The see-through effect is especially popular for exclusive club and membership cards, VIP event access passes, or premium prepaid gift cards, where the unconventional look is meant to underline how exclusive the programme is. It is a product built around repeated use by the cardholder, not around handing over a contact for representational purposes.
