EN 1150

EN 1150:1999 was a European standard for high-visibility clothing for non-professional use, typically reflective vests for children, pedestrians and cyclists. It set requirements for fluorescent and retroreflective materials and for their placement on the garment.

The standard has been withdrawn and, together with EN 13356:2001 for reflective accessories, was replaced by EN 17353 (2020). Both older standards could be used in parallel until 31 August 2023. New products are therefore certified to EN 17353.

High-visibility workwear is covered by a separate standard, EN ISO 20471:2013.
