Choose your lanyard by width
The strap width determines how much space you have for your logo and how the lanyard looks. We produce four standard widths – each has its own page with details on production, MOQ and pricing:
- Thin lanyards 10 mm – discreet neck straps, ideal for simple logos and a minimalist look
- Lanyards 15 mm – the golden middle ground between an elegant width and printing space
- Lanyards 20 mm – the most popular standard width, universal for companies and events
- Wide lanyards 25 mm – maximum space for full-colour printing and a bold logo
Not sure which technology to choose? Our bestsellers are sublimation lanyards with full-surface photo printing (from 100 pcs); for a premium look we recommend woven lanyards. For luxury events we offer satin lanyards with a smooth, glossy surface, and for companies with an ESG agenda ECO lanyards made from recycled rPET or bamboo.
Accessories and carabiners for neck straps
The function of a lanyard is defined by its end fitting. The standard is a quality metal carabiner (the „fish" or „classic" type) for attaching keys or ID cards. A very popular add-on is the plastic trident (detachable buckle), which lets you detach the lower part of the lanyard with your keys without taking the whole strap off your neck. For safety reasons – especially for schools, production facilities and large events – we recommend a safety breakaway at the neck, which releases on a strong pull and prevents injury. We also offer ID card holders and badges (soft and hard plastics), yo-yo reels and phone holders.
Lanyards, short lanyards and wristbands – what's the difference
Our range includes three related but thematically different products:
- Lanyards (90–120 cm) – worn around the neck, used to hang ID cards, name badges or keys at conferences, festivals and in companies
- Short neck keychains (45–60 cm) – a compact variant for keys, USB drives and cards
- Wristbands and ID straps – textile bands for the wrist, ideal for festivals, conferences and public events

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about lanyards – printed neck straps
What is the difference between a neck strap and a lanyard?
None. "Lanyard" is the international term; other common names are neck strap, neck keychain, ID strap or badge holder strap. They all refer to the same product.
What is the difference between a lanyard and a short neck keychain?
A lanyard is 90–120 cm long and is worn around the neck to carry name badges and ID cards. A short neck keychain is only 45–60 cm long and is used for keys, USB sticks or small cards – it is worn around the wrist, on a belt or attached to a bag. Both use the same materials and printing technologies.
What is the minimum order quantity?
The minimum order for custom-made lanyards with your own design is 100 pieces per artwork for sublimation printing and 250 pieces for screen printing. Special terms apply to agencies and wholesale customers.
Can I have a full-colour print (a photo) on my lanyard?
Yes. Sublimation printing allows us to reproduce any artwork, including photographs and colour gradients, with no limit on the number of colours. For corporate Pantone shades in 1–4 colours we recommend screen printing.
How fast can you deliver printed lanyards?
The standard lead time is 10–14 working days from artwork approval. For urgent orders we offer 72-hour express production (finished lanyards within 4 working days). Plain lanyards from stock without printing are dispatched the same day.
Do you also supply card holders for lanyards?
Yes. Our range of accessories includes a wide selection of ID card holders and badge pouches in various sizes (soft and rigid plastic), as well as retractable badge reels ("yoyo") and phone holders.
What is the standard length and width of a lanyard?
The standard length of an unfolded lanyard is 90 cm (approx. 45 cm when hanging around the neck). The most common width is 20 mm; we also produce 10, 15 and 25 mm versions. For short keychains we use a length of 45–60 cm.
