Start with who will use the notebook
A school notebook is carried in a bag for the whole term, a conference notebook often ends up in a drawer after one day, and a notebook from an eco workshop should also carry the values of the organisation. Before you start on the artwork, clarify who the recipients are, how many pieces you need and how long they will be used. That will tell you which cover and page count to choose.

SCHOOL – a simple cover for schools
Notebooks SCHOOL have a cover of 170 g/m² matt coated paper without lamination and come with 16 or 32 sheets. They are the best-value choice for schools, language courses and large quantities.

Notebooks PREMIUM have a cover of 350 g/m² coated paper with gloss or velvety Soft Touch film. The cover is stiffer and resists bending, scuffing and moisture better.
Suitable for conferences, training and welcome packs.ECO – kraft or recycled paper
Notebooks ECO have a 300 g/m² cover without film, made of brown unbleached kraft or white paper from 100% recycled fibres. The inside sheets are standard offset paper.
On kraft, colours look more muted and dark logos stand out best.Interior: lined, squared or plain
The custom print on these notebooks is on the cover; the interior is standard. You choose from three options and two formats.

The 9 mm ruling is slightly wider than the 8 mm ruling common in Czech school notebooks. For younger pupils who are used to a particular type of notebook, take this into account when choosing. The A5 format fits into any bag, while A4 gives more room for graphs and notes.
A consistent school range for all subjects
Schools often have a whole set of notebooks prepared in the same design. The front cover carries the school's logo and colours with fields for name, class and subject, and the back carries contact details or a QR code to the school website. Each subject can have its own colour or title.
Each cover design is ordered as a separate item. The price per piece for each design is the same as for a single design in the same quantity, so five subjects of 200 pieces each come to the same price per piece as one design in a quantity of 200 pieces.
How many pieces to order
We produce notebooks from 25 pieces of one design, and in the e-shop you can order up to 3,000 pieces per design. The price per piece falls as the quantity grows, and you can see it for every variant directly on the product page. Larger quantities, printing on the inside of the cover or a different paper can be quoted individually.
From artwork to finished notebooks
- You choose the range, format, interior and quantity.
- You send your logo and an idea of the cover. The price includes checking and optimising the print files for up to 30 minutes of a graphic designer's work.
- You approve the graphic proof.
- Production usually takes 5 working days from approval of the proof. Shipping must be added.

What is the difference between gloss and Soft Touch film?
Gloss film enhances colours and photographs. Soft Touch has a fine matt, velvety surface without reflections. Both protect the cover from scuffing and moisture.
What does printing on kraft paper look like?
Kraft is naturally brown, and colours are printed on it without a white underlay, so they look darker. White is not printed. For light and rich colours, choose recycled paper.
How long does production take?
Usually 5 working days from approval of the graphic proof. Preparing the artwork and shipping must be added.
