Sublimation Printing Promotional Items – Photorealistic Quality
Sublimation printing promotional products enables creating full-color photorealistic designs with high color saturation and detail. This technology is ideal for mug printing, textiles, mouse pads, desk pads, or metal panels. Sublimation transfers color directly into the material structure, creating permanent, durable printing without a tactile layer that withstands frequent washing or use.
Sublimation technology uses heat transfer of special pigments that transition from solid to gas state at high temperature and penetrate polyester fibers or specially treated surfaces. The result is vivid, full-color imagery with unlimited colors and smooth gradients. Sublimation printing is therefore the perfect choice for complex designs, photographs, gradient backgrounds, or detailed logos with many colors.
At TAEDA, we offer free optimization of your graphic files – our team dedicates up to 30 minutes to each product to ensure colors and resolution are perfect for sublimation. Before production, you will receive a digital preview for approval. We provide volume discounts for advertising agencies and wholesalers, and loyalty bonuses for end customers. For selected products, we guarantee free shipping and express production from just 3 days.

What is Sublimation Printing and How It Works
Sublimation printing is a technology that uses heat to transfer special sublimation inks into materials. Unlike traditional printing where color remains on the surface, sublimation dyes penetrate directly into the structure of polyester fibers or specially treated surfaces (ceramics, metals with polyester coating). The process occurs at approximately 200°C, when ink transitions directly from solid to gas phase and fixes inside the material.
The advantage of sublimation is unlimited color range – you can print photorealistic designs, gradient transitions, and fine details without color limitations. The print is permanent, doesn't fade, doesn't peel even with frequent washing up to 60°C. Sublimation is the dominant technique for polyester textiles, ceramic mugs, metal bottles, or square mouse pads.
Materials Suitable for Sublimation Printing
Sublimation only works on white or light materials with at least 65% polyester content, or on specially treated surfaces. For textiles, functional t-shirts, sports jerseys, polyester sweatshirts, or blended materials are ideal. The higher the polyester content, the more saturated and durable the colors will be.
For solid items, ceramic mugs and plates with polyester coating, metal bottles, aluminum panels, or mouse pads with polyester covering are used. Sublimation on ceramics is the most popular method for producing promotional mugs – the print is durable, dishwasher-safe, and colors remain vibrant even after years. Advantages of Sublimation Over Other Techniques
The main advantage of sublimation is full-color photorealistic printing with unlimited color count. Compared to pad printing or screen printing, which are limited to 1–4 colors, sublimation handles complex photographs, color gradients, and detailed graphics.
Another advantage is tactility – the print isn't raised, colors are directly in the material, so the surface remains smooth and pleasant to touch. Sublimation printing is also very durable – on textiles it withstands hundreds of washes without fading, on mugs it's resistant to microwave and dishwasher. The disadvantage is limitation to light polyester materials only – sublimation doesn't work on dark backgrounds or cotton.
Sublimation Printing Ordering Process
The order begins with product selection and sending your design. Ideal are high-resolution files (minimum 300 dpi) in PNG, JPG, PDF, or AI format. Our graphic team optimizes your design for sublimation – adjusts color profile to CMYK, checks resolution, and creates a preview. This step is free and includes up to 30 minutes of work per product.
After preview approval, we proceed to production. The design is first printed on special sublimation paper, which is then transferred using a heat press to the final product. Standard delivery time is 5–7 working days, express production from 3 days. Minimum order is usually from 1 piece (for mugs), for textiles from 10 pieces. For larger volumes
