Binding types for catalogs
We produce catalogs in a wide range of bindings according to your requirements and purpose. Saddle stitch V1 (stitching from the shorter side) is ideal for standard portrait A4 catalogs, while saddle stitch V2 (stitching from the longer side) is suitable for landscape A4 catalogs or panoramic formats. Saddle stitching ensures strength, long lifespan and the ability to open the catalog to 180 degrees, which is advantageous for clear presentations with large-format photographs.
Perfect binding PUR (Perfect Bound) is a premium solution for thicker catalogs from 40 pages with a professional spine suitable for printing company logos. This binding is used for prestigious product catalogs, annual reports or magazines. Wire-o binding TwinWire allows easy page turning and 360-degree opening, ideal for instruction manuals, price lists or training materials. For smaller quantities, we also offer staple binding as an economical alternative.
Formats and paper stocks
We print catalogs in A4 format (210 × 297 mm) – the most common choice for product catalogs and presentations, A5 (148 × 210 mm) – compact format suitable for price lists and smaller brochures, or DL (99 × 210 mm) – narrow format ideal for leaflets or menu cards. Upon request, we also produce non-standard dimensions according to your specific requirements.
For inner pages of catalogs, we offer various paper types: offset paper 80-170 g/m2 as an economical choice for large print runs, coated matte paper 115-250 g/m2 for precise photo reproduction with an elegant matte surface, or coated gloss paper 115-250 g/m2 for maximum color saturation and glossy effect. Catalog covers are typically printed on heavier paper 200-350 g/m2 with the option of lamination (matte/glossy), UV varnish or other surface finishes.
Benefits of catalog printing at TAEDA
Our printing house has the most modern offset and digital printing machines that guarantee top print quality while maintaining competitive prices. Digital printing is ideal for smaller quantities from 1 piece with express production within 48-72 hours.
Each catalog undergoes thorough quality control before binding and dispatch. We offer comprehensive graphic services including layout design, photo editing and print data preparation. Our graphics team dedicates up to 30 minutes of work to each project free of charge, including resolution checking, bleed setting and color profile optimization. For more complex projects, we also provide printing of complementary marketing materials in a unified design.
Surface finishes for catalogs
To increase the attractiveness and protection of catalogs, we offer a wide range of surface finishes. Lamination (matte or glossy film) protects the cover from scratching, dirt and increases the catalog's durability with frequent use. Matte lamination looks elegant and minimizes fingerprints, while glossy lamination enhances colors and gives the catalog a luxurious appearance.
UV varnish can be applied full-surface or selectively only on selected elements (logo, products), creating an interesting visual contrast and haptic effect. Hot stamping with gold, silver or colored foil gives the catalog a premium character suitable for luxury products. For a unique impression, we also offer 3D UV varnish that creates a distinctive relief, or soft-touch lamination with a pleasant satin surface. All finishes can be combined to achieve maximum visual effect.
